The Singaporean Society for Immunology (SgSI), in partnership with A*STAR’s Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS), is proud to bring to you the 5th International Singapore Symposium of Immunology: “Innate and Adaptive Mechanisms in Immunity”, held on 7 – 8 June 2012 at Town Plaza Auditorium, University Town, Singapore. This scientific meeting aims to bring together local and international researchers and clinicians to discuss on topics related to Molecular and Cellular Aspects of Inflammation, Host-Pathogen Interaction, Immune Recognition and Regulation of Immune Response. It will also provide an opportunity for sharing of research expertise and identifying collaboration opportunities.

Deadline extended to 31st July 2011!
Another joint initiative has been launched by SIgN and IFReC partners in Japan: IFReC-SIgN Winter School on Advanced Immunology. First year of this winter school will be held on 16-20 January 2012 in Hyogo, Awaji Island in Japan; next school in January 2013 will be hosted by SIgN in Singapore.
The program will include a four-day intensive immunology lecture series for Ph.D. students and recent post-doctoral fellows given by 16 leading immunologists on a wide range of topics as well as poster and oral presentations by all participants. Accommodation and travel expenses will be covered by the school.
Ph.D. students and post doctoral fellows (no more than three years since obtaining the Ph.D. degree) are eligible to apply. There will be a competitive screening and selection process.
