Immunology Societies


SIgN is the main founder of Singaporean Society for Immunology (SgSI). Professor Philippe Kourilsky, Chairman of SIgN, holds the Honorary President appointment of the society, while Professor Paola Castagnoli, Scientific Director of SIgN, is appointed as the President of the society. SIgN together with SgSI, and its other co-founders, namely, National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), organizes activities, with the aim of promoting research collaborations and the advancement of immunology research. SgSI currently has 400 registered members. SgSI is a member of the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) and Federation of Immunological Societies of Asia-Oceania (FIMSA).

SIgN has established links with international immunology societies such as IUIS, FIMSA and European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS). SIgN also plays an active role in promoting immunology related events. For instance, SIgN organizes in-house seminars as well as workshops that promote the World Day of Immunology annually on the 29th April, which is also commemorated by most international immunological societies.
 

 

Singaporean Society for Immunology (SgSI)

Singaporean Society for Immunology (SgSI) currently has 400 members and hopes to expand its network with other immunological societies around the world.

Federation of Immunological Societies of Asia-Oceania (FIMSA)

The Federation of Immunological Societies of Asia-Oceania (FIMSA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1992 to advance the science of immunology in the Asia-Pacific region.

 

 

International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS)

The International Union of Immunological Societies is an umbrella organization for many of the regional and national societies of immunology throughout the world.

 

European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS)

EFIS is an umbrella organization that represents more than 12,000 individual members from 29 member societies in 31 European countries (all European Union member states and all other European states) and reaches beyond the European boundaries to Israel.
